These experts select the shortlists for each category

On 25 November 2026, the GREEN MONARCH Award will be presented for the second time as part of the GreenSign Future Lab at Hotel Bristol Berlin. The evening will put a spotlight on the projects that show what sustainable transformation in hospitality, gastronomy and tourism truly means in practice.

This year, the award will once again be presented in four categories: Hotel, Restaurant, Personality and Product. We are looking for initiatives with substance. Concepts that do not just sound good, but create real impact.

After the submission phase closes on 31 May 2026, our jury will review all applications and select a shortlist in each category. The shortlist will be published on 1 August 2026. From that date, the public online voting will begin and remain open until 12:00 noon on 25 November 2026. The winners will be announced that same evening during the official Award Night.

Public engagement was already strong last year. 23,000 votes in the online voting showed just how great the interest is. Our goal is clear: even more participation, even more visibility for the best projects.

Prof. Dr. Carolin Steinhauser from SRH University Campus Munich and Prof. Dr. Christian Buer from Heilbronn University will once again be part of the jury. Petra Hedorfer from the German National Tourist Board, Matthias Tritsch from Greentable e.V., Marco Voigt from Corporate Relations Studio UG and Jana Schimke from the German Hotel and Restaurant Association, DEHOGA Bundesverband, are joining this year. Together, they bring academic depth, strategic insight and an international perspective.
