Our joint initiative at the GreenSign Future Lab
As part of the second GreenSign Future Lab 2026, we are taking the next step with intention: on Thursday, November 26, our social and circular initiative will once again be an integral part of the program at Hotel Bristol Berlin.
This year, we will once again come together to pack Care Bags – expanding the impact in a tangible way. A total of 500 Care Bags will be created using carefully selected hygiene products. Their production takes place under inclusive conditions, actively involving people with disabilities in the value creation process. What emerges here is more than a product. It is a visible expression of how social inclusion and responsible action can come together in practice.
An important part of this process takes place at kbo-Haar, where textiles from the GreenSign Future Lab 2025 are cut and repurposed, ensuring that at least one side of each bag is made from previously used materials. Fabrics that have already served their purpose are given a new role – transformed into something that meets an immediate and real need.
This initiative is supported by Ecowaterjet by Rabmer and Hotelier.de, both contributing to ensuring that impact reaches those who need it most.
At the center are the finished Care Bags: thoughtfully assembled, practical, and of high quality. They will be distributed free of charge to people in need across Berlin.
This initiative is not an add-on. It is a clear statement. It demonstrates how environmental responsibility, social impact, and practical implementation can come together – without compromise, without empty words.
With this, the GreenSign Future Lab sets a deliberate example: sustainability does not end with processes or strategies. It begins where responsibility becomes tangible.

SapoCycle Germany e.V. was launched in December 2023 as the first social franchise in Grasbrunn/Bavaria, part of the international SapoCycle initiative from Switzerland (2014) and France (2018). The concept: collecting used hotel soaps, recycling them at Lebenshilfe WerkStadt Nürnberg by people with disabilities and distributing them free of charge to people in need in Germany.
The model has a threefold impact: ecological through up to 90% CO₂ savings compared to disposal, social through regulated jobs and humanitarian through improved hygiene for those in need. Particularly recognised by GreenSign, Green Key, EarthCheck and myClimate. The mission: "Turning waste into health."

Your used soap - part of a good cycle
Will you join in? In the spirit of sustainability, social responsibility and real impact, SapoCycle Germany e.V. is looking for committed hotels that don't dispose of their used soaps but donate them to the recycling process.
At the Future Lab, we will then pack "Care Bags" together - with recycled SapoCycle soap and other hygiene products for the Berliner Tafel. The campaign goes straight to the heart because it provides concrete help and creates encounters.
